Deepwater Plaza celebrated its 15^th birthday recently with a wide variety of activities and prizes.

The major prize of a 3.8 metre Stessco Bass Trailer boat and Boeing 12 trailer fitted with a 15 HP Mercury outboard motor and $200 worth of fishing gear was won by Joe Richter of Ettalong who correctly guessed the weight of a Jewfish at 15.2 kg.

The birthday cake was cut by 2GO celebrity, Michelle (the Roadrunner) and fishing expert Steve Starling from the Rex Hunt Fishing Show as seen on television.

Steve was also on hand throughout the day to answer questions from shoppers on all manner of fishing issues.

The giant cake was baked by Coles bakery and was enjoyed by hundreds of shoppers who lined up for a slice of the action.

Deepwater Plaza’s Marketing Manager, Julie Maher, said that she was pleased with the response to the promotion and are looking forward to another 15 years.

Shopkeepers were also pleased with the crowds attracted to the centre by the promotion.
