Peninsula musicians featuring in local bands '$1 Short', 'Fuba' and 'Shaft' will form part of the line-up celebrating the Youth Festival to be held at Gosford Showground on Saturday, May 1.

Organisers are expecting a crowd of around 3000 to attend.

The main stage will also feature headline acts, 'Downtime', 'Nancy Vandal', 'Muzzy Prep' and 'The Hard Ons' who have released their best of album to coincide with the Festival.

The Showground Hall will be converted to a dance room including music from 'Morphism', 'Vtek', 'Hepburnerthorp' and a variety of DJ's.

Stalls selling food, crafts and jewellery will be part of the day, as well as displays from diverse community interest groups.

Gates will open at noon and the festivities will continue until 10pm.

Entry is $5, with tickets available on the day.
