Clothing bins moved

Several charity clothing bins on the Peninsula have had to be relocated after Gosford Council formulated policy on placement of the bins.
At Council’s April meeting, Cr Bockholt asked council to further investigate the placement of current clothing bin placements outside the Ettalong Scout Hall and in the Sydney 2000 Park.
Cr Bockholt was also concerned about the amount of boxes and rubbish surrounding the clothing bin at the bus stop in Hillview Street, Woy Woy.
The Director of Works said two bins belonging to the Smith Family on the recreation reserve at Ettalong near the Scout Hall should be relocated to join the two other bins currently near the roadside reserve at the Scout Hall.
The two bins on the road reserve are owned by the Vietnam Veterans Association and Knights of the Central Coast.
The Director of Works said the Knights of the Central Coast bin at Sydney 2000 Park, Umina, was inappropriately placed and council has requested it to be removed.
The Director said the Hillview bin had no rubbish around it at the time of an inspection but council will continue to monitor the bin.
