Call to waive Osborne Ave contributions

Cr Lynne Bockholt has requested council to waive kerb, gutter and footpath contributions for residents near the proposed Police Community Youth Club in Osborne Avenue, Umina.
"At the two public meetings held to discuss the club, there were no loud objections to the project but there was concern over extra traffic, parking and so forth," she said.
"At both these meetings, residents requested a traffic management plan and kerb and guttering, never dreaming they would have to contribute financially.
"There are exceptional circumstances here because the only reason for the kerb and guttering is to allow the youth centre to operate efficiently," she said.
