Bruce Kerr makes

history again

This history-making first edition of Peninsula News has been proudly and fittingly sponsored by one of the oldest businesses on the Peninsula.

Established in 1938, Bruce Kerr Real Estate has now been serving Peninsula residents for over 60 years.

A local family owned business that employs a large number of local residents, Bruce Kerr Pty Ltd chose Peninsula News to announce its move to its new store on the corner of Picnic Parade and Ocean View Road, Ettalong.

When asked why he chose a new untried publication, the proprietor, Bruce Kerr replied: "I remember the Woy Woy Herald and how good the newspaper was for the community.

"I’m expecting the Peninsula News to be just as effective, if not more so, and look forward to being part of that exciting development.

"Our staff have worked in the area for many years and are well known within the community.

"We all applaud the community attitude of the paper and see this attitude as a mainstay of our business."

Shown below is the cottage Congareena which once stood on the corner of Picnic Parade and Ocean View Road, the very site of Bruce Kerr’s modern business premises.
