Ettalong loses classroom

Ettalong Public School will lose a demountable classroom this year, as a result of falling enrolments.

The school received 15 less students than predicted this year, according to school principal Mr Bob Bourke.

The school had a total enrolment of 662 students.

"Students were allocated to new classes last Thursday (February 1) and by all accounts are happy and settled.

"We have placed these students into 25 classes plus the Special Education class.

"The enrolment was down by about 15 students on what we had predicted, with the result that 25 rather than 26 classes have been formed.

"This means also that the demountable classroom near the hall will be moved to another school."
