Probus club looks to Peninsula
Kariong Probus Club is seeking members from the Peninsula, with Peninsula clubs not accepting members.
While the Peninsula clubs have waiting lists, 30 per cent of the Kariong club membership comes from the Peninsula.
Half of the committee also comprises Peninsula residents.
The Kariong Probus Club promotes itself as "a good way to meet people with the view to gentle friendship" and describes itself as "a retired group".
Meetings are held once a month with guest speakers on varied topics.
Other activities include luncheons, picnics day bus trips and longer trips away.
Kariong Probus meets on the third Tuesday of the month at Gosford Golf Club.
