Three more items off heritage list

 

Three items which were to be included in the council heritage list will now not be listed as items of environmental heritage.

Among them is the house at 100 Patonga St, Patonga.

At a recent council meeting, Cr Lynne Bockholt said: "At the inspection, the owner thought that the house next door was of more value than this one."

The house known as "Coolabah" at 2 Pearl Beach Dr, Pearl Beach, will also not be listed as a heritage item.

Cr Judith Penton said: "The owner is spending thousands on restoring the property already.

"It doesn't need to be heritage listed."

Phegans walking track on Monastir Rd, Phegan's Bay, will not be listed although any future development applications will have to take into account the presence of the walking trail.
