New store for Umina

A new Subway store has opened at Umina.

Operators Julie Newcombe and Roberta Matterson said the opening for breakfast on December 11 was a success.

Julie and Roberta, who are related by marriage, have lived in Umina all their lives are excited about their new business.

They travelled to Brisbane for two weeks of training before opening the store.

The store in Umina is the 13th on the Central Coast.

Julie and Roberta have been happy with the initial response.

The shop has a cappuccino maker which most Subway stores do not have.

It also has the added touch of al fresco dining in a covered part of the lane way beside the store.

The business employs 13 people with two full time senior staff, one full time junior staff member and three part time senior and seven part-time junior staff.
