Thoughts wanted on Peninsula's character
Gosford Council will hold public consultations on the Peninsula over the next two weeks for its "urban design framework".
"Council wants to hear what you think about the character and appearance of your suburb," said Ms Peta James of Council's Landuse Planning Unit.
She said the "urban design framework" was being prepared to answer questions such as: What makes your suburb unique? What do you like about it? What don't you like? How could it be improved?
It would set out objectives about what the area should look like in the future, she said.
The information would be used over the next few years to help plan and to make sure that future development enhances the best aspects of local character.
Council and its consultant, Brett Newbold Urban Planning, were holding a series of community workshops to which residents and anyone else who is interested are invited.
Each one was planned to deal with particular suburbs.
"At the workshops, you will be able to find out more about the project and there will be plenty of time to tell us about your opinions and suggestions," said Ms James.
It was expected that each workshop will last around two hours.
Tea and coffee would be provided.
Workshops will be held at:
