Report on petition outcomes

Gosford Council's director of corporate and community services, Mr Chris Gallagher, has presented a quarterly report to Council on outcomes from petitions.
A 47-signature petition asking Council to retain the raised pedestrian crossings in West Street, Umina is still under review as the Umina CBD improvement works are in the hands of a contracted consultant.
Mr Gallagher said the petitioners' comments had been taken into consideration by the consultant.
Petitioners near Flounder Road, Ettalong had asked Council to upgrade the road.
The 106 petitioners wanted the road to be upgraded before a serious accident occurred.
Mr Gallagher said he had not received a response from Council's traffic committee at this stage.
The traffic committee had also not made a decision on the intersection of Hobart Ave, Perth St and Mt Ettalong Rd, Umina Beach after 57 petitioners asked for a roundabout and traffic lights to be installed.
The request by 51 petitioners for a bus shelter in Nambucca Drive, Woy Woy, had been placed on Council's list for future works.
The traffic committee was still reviewing the request by 61 petitioners for the removal of the pedestrian safety zone in Wellington St, Umina.
The petitioners said the safety zone should be removed before a serious accident occured.
